Eva got her first (electric) drumkit for her 11th birthday, after unexpectedly discovering a passion for playing the drums. With a self-taught basis she started taking drumming lessons from, among others, Max van Winkelhof (Born from Pain, Diggy Dex) and Lean Robbemont (Alain Clark, Candy Dulfer). She has attended numerous inspiring lessons and clinics from legendary Dutch ánd international drummers.

During her time in high school, Eva began exploring progressive rock/metal music. She got inspired and purchased a twin pedal, which she learned to play by herself. Later she took lessons from Richard Moelker at Drumschool Cleuver.

During the summer of 2021, Eva joined female fronted symphonic metal band Ylisia. With Ylisia she has played many shows, won awards and recorded their debut album ‘Underneath’ (2023) in the studio with Daan Janzing. In 2024, they signed a contract with WormHoleDeath Records. Read more about Ylisia on their website.

As of 2025, Eva is the new drummer of female fronted symphonic metal band Abstracted Mind. This young band is working hard to release new music, so stay tuned!

Additionally in 2024, Eva was asked to be a substitute drummer for Dutch folk band Voddemoêr. Eva played during the “Nederfolk Revival” Christmas concert in Zaandam. There, she performed together with (old) members of legendary Dutch folk groups such as Fungus, Deirdre, Crackerhash, and FolkJoke ánd new Dutch folk groups Voddemoêr and Four of a Kind. Through these experiences she was able to broaden her drumming style.
